Bashir Hassan Ekoja, a senatorial aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue South, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Innocent Ogbeh.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of himself and the ADC family in Benue South Senatorial District, Ekoja described the late Ogbeh as “more than a statesman — a patriot, a bridge-builder, and a voice of wisdom in Nigeria’s political history.”
He noted that Ogbeh’s decades of service, which spanned ministerial leadership and party stewardship, were marked by integrity, humility, and an unshakable commitment to national development.
“Though we may have stood on different political platforms, his legacy transcends party lines. His life reminds us that Nigeria’s progress depends on the courage to serve and the passion to unite,” Ekoja said.
He prayed for God to grant the bereaved family strength and comfort, adding that Ogbeh’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations of leaders to put the nation first.
Chief Ogbeh, who hails from Benue State, served in various political and administrative capacities during his lifetime and was widely respected for his contributions to national unity and agricultural development.
