Nigerian crossdresser and social media influencer Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has filed a ₦1 billion lawsuit against Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, over alleged defamation through an AI-generated audio recording.
The lawsuit, which Bobrisky announced on his Instagram account on Sunday, accuses VeryDarkMan of releasing an audio clip that falsely implicated Bobrisky in illicit relationships with high-profile figures, including politicians and law enforcement officials.
In the suit, Bobrisky’s legal team claimed that VeryDarkMan exploited Bobrisky’s name and influence for personal gain by making unsubstantiated allegations. The legal statement reads, “Our client has informed us that in your quest for social media stardom, you have continued to exploit his name, personality, and social media influence to create media buzz for your personal gains.”
The lawsuit marks a significant move in the ongoing dispute between the two personalities, as Bobrisky seeks legal redress for the alleged defamatory statements.
