A Kentucky mother was stunned to find dozens of boxes filled with lollipops on her doorstep—an unexpected delivery ordered by her eight-year-old son using her phone.

Holly LaFavers said her son, Liam, managed to purchase around 70,000 Dum-Dum lollipops from Amazon while playing with her device. Despite her attempts to cancel the order, 22 cases had already shipped before she could intervene.

“He told me he was planning a carnival and wanted the Dum-Dums as prizes for his friends,” LaFavers told local media. “He was just being kind and friendly.”

But the act of generosity came with a hefty price tag. A look at her bank account revealed a $4,000 charge.

“When I saw the total, I nearly fainted,” she said.

LaFavers later discovered eight more cases were still en route. She managed to intercept and return them at the post office. It took some effort, but with help from her bank and after a long day of media calls, Amazon refunded the full amount.

She shared the resolution in a social media post, thanking those who helped and vowing to update the security settings on her phone to prevent another surprise purchase.
