CCNE Commends Mele Kyari for Transforming Warri, Port Harcourt Refineries
The Concerned Citizens of Northeast (CCNE) has lauded the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL), Mallam Mele Kyari, for his efforts in reviving the Warri and Port Harcourt refineries.
In a statement signed by its Director of Media, Amb. Auwal Ahmad Umar, the group praised the rehabilitation of these critical facilities, describing it as a transformative milestone for Nigeria’s energy sector. The restoration of the refineries has significantly bolstered the country’s petroleum refining capacity and reignited prospects for energy self-sufficiency.
CCNE highlighted Mallam Kyari’s transparent and efficient leadership in spearheading the comprehensive rehabilitation project, noting that the process adhered to global standards. The group emphasized that the initiative aligns with the federal government’s objectives of reducing dependency on imported refined products, driving economic growth, and creating employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerians.
“By prioritizing strategic investments and leveraging innovative technology, Mallam Kyari has set a benchmark for excellence in the oil and gas industry,” the statement said.
The group called on Nigerians to rally behind Mallam Kyari and the NNPC as they work toward repositioning Nigeria in the global energy sector. CCNE expressed optimism that this transformative leadership would enhance the country’s economic resilience and strengthen its energy security.
