Israeli forces carried out airstrikes, artillery shelling and naval fire across several parts of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, in what witnesses described as continued violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 10, 2025.

Residents said Israeli warplanes struck areas southwest of the southern city of Rafah, while separate aerial attacks targeted locations east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Artillery fire was also reported in eastern Gaza City, hitting the Tuffah and Zeitoun neighbourhoods, accompanied by gunfire from nearby Israeli military vehicles, witnesses added.

In northern Gaza, Israeli aircraft reportedly conducted airstrikes and demolition operations on buildings east of Jabalia and Beit Lahia, alongside sustained artillery shelling. Local sources said the affected northern and eastern areas remain under Israeli military control under the ceasefire arrangement.

Witnesses also reported that Israeli naval vessels fired multiple shells at coastal areas in northern Gaza, including zones from which Israeli forces had withdrawn under the truce.

No casualties were reported from the latest round of attacks.

The renewed strikes come despite an ongoing ceasefire, amid a wider conflict that has devastated the Gaza Strip. Since October 2023, more than 71,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed, with over 171,000 others injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.

The Gaza Health Ministry said that since the ceasefire took effect, Israeli attacks have continued, leaving at least 425 Palestinians dead and 1,189 others wounded.
