Champions League 2025/26 Draw: Premier League Giants Learn Their Group Opponents in Revamped Format
Football fans across Europe are buzzing with excitement as the draw for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League League Phase has been officially revealed!
Under the new expanded format—introduced last season—36 clubs will compete in a single league table. Each team will play eight matches against eight different opponents (four home, four away), replacing the traditional group stage.
The top 8 teams in the standings will progress automatically to the Round of 16, while clubs finishing 9th to 24th will battle it out in a two-legged play-off for the remaining spots in the knockout round.
Six Premier League clubs—Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Newcastle United—have all learned their fixtures for the league phase.
