Chelsea Set for Summer Clear-Out, Jackson and Madueke Among 10 Players to Exit
Chelsea FC is preparing to offload up to 10 players in a sweeping summer squad overhaul, with forwards Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, and Christopher Nkunku reportedly among those facing uncertain futures, The Athletic reports.
The Premier League side is restructuring its squad to raise funds and create space for new signings ahead of the upcoming campaign. Also listed for possible exit are Djordje Petrovic, Armando Broja, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling, Carney Chukwuemeka, and new signing Renato Veiga.
Chelsea’s recent €35.5 million acquisition of striker Liam Delap from Ipswich Town has intensified speculation around Jackson’s position, with the Senegal international potentially set to depart after just one season.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has emerged as a transfer target to replace Madueke, who could also be sold if the right offer arrives.
Several of the players identified – including Petrovic, Disasi, Sterling, Chilwell, Chukwuemeka, Broja, and Veiga – were either underused or sent out on loan last season, further fueling talks of permanent moves.
While Chelsea’s primary focus is on streamlining the squad and generating income, the decision to part with high-profile names like Nkunku, Jackson, and Madueke will depend on market interest and the club’s valuation of each player.
The reshuffle marks a bold approach by the club’s leadership as they aim to rebuild a competitive squad and return to title contention.
