China Successfully Launches Shijian-28 Satellite in 611th Long March Rocket Mission
China has successfully launched its Shijian-28 satellite from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in Hainan, marking another milestone in the country’s expanding space program.
The satellite lifted off at 8:20 p.m. Beijing time (1220 GMT) on Sunday aboard a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket. State media reported that the spacecraft entered its designated orbit shortly after launch.
The mission represents the 611th flight of China’s Long March rocket family, underscoring the reliability and continued use of the country’s homegrown launch vehicles.
The latest deployment follows China’s Nov. 19 launch of three satellites Shijian-30A, Shijian-30B, and Shijian-30C designed for space environment monitoring and technology verification.
