The African Democratic Congress (ADC) senatorial aspirant for Benue South, Bashir Hassan Ekoja, has urged the people of Benue South Senatorial District and residents of Benue State to embrace hope, unity and renewed commitment to building a better society as Christians celebrate Christmas.

In his Christmas message to the people, Ekoja described the season as a reminder that “light always triumphs over darkness,” stressing that the celebration should inspire renewed belief in a Benue founded on fairness, opportunity and true representation.

“I celebrate with you — the hardworking farmers, traders, students, parents, and youths who make our land proud every day,” he said, acknowledging the resilience and contributions of the people across the state.

The ADC chieftain emphasized the need for collective effort in shaping a future where citizens’ voices are heard and democratic dividends reach communities at the grassroots. According to him, empowering young people and ensuring inclusive governance remain critical to the progress of Benue South and the state at large.

“Together, we can build a future where our voices are heard, our youth are empowered, and our communities truly benefit from the dividends of democracy,” Ekoja stated.

He further prayed for peace, progress and unity among the people during the festive season, expressing optimism about the year ahead.

“May this festive season bring peace to our homes, progress to our land, and unity among our people,” he added, wishing the people of Benue South and Benue State a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
