The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting at Life Camp, Abuja, has adjourned the trial of Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, in a case of alleged assault and battery until November 26.
The claimant, Nigerian musician Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent, filed the suit against Odumodublvck, alleging that the rapper violently assaulted him at a public event on December 16, 2024.
Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi fixed the new date after the claimant’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that the defendant had been served with all necessary documents but had yet to file a response.
“The hearing may not commence today because the defendant’s counsel, Sheriff Bello, had not responded. We, however, pray to the court for a date,” Ojembe said.
In his response, Bello requested more time to prepare his defense.
He prayed the court to grant him “a date to put his house in order,” saying the extension would enable him to prepare properly for the case.
According to reports by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Kraziecent alleged in his civil suit that while he was peacefully taking pictures and videos of himself at the event, Odumodublvck assaulted him without provocation.
He further claimed that the rapper’s actions amounted to assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress on both his person and property—specifically his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The claimant is seeking several reliefs, including an order compelling the defendant to pay for his medical expenses, emotional distress, and the cost of the damaged iPhone.
He also wants the court to direct Odumodublvck to issue a public apology and publish it on his social media platforms—including Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram—as well as in at least two national newspapers.
Additionally, Kraziecent is seeking an order of perpetual injunction restraining Odumodublvck, his agents, or representatives from further harassing, intimidating, or causing him harm.
