Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Christantus Uche from La Liga side Getafe on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy.

The 22-year-old attacker joins the South London club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, with the deal reportedly worth £20 million should the permanent transfer clause be triggered. Uche will wear the No. 12 shirt for the Eagles.

Seen as a direct replacement for Eberechi Eze — who joined Arsenal last week — Uche brings pace, creativity, and versatility to Palace’s attacking options.

“This moment is unbelievable. I’m very lucky to be here today and this club is a big opportunity for me,” Uche told Palace TV during his unveiling.

Uche began his European career in 2022 with Spanish fifth-tier side Moralo CP, before making a quick rise to third-division AD Ceuta FC. His breakthrough came after a move to Getafe ahead of the 2024/25 season, where he impressed with 38 appearances, four goals, and seven assists across all competitions.

The Nigerian international is currently on duty with the Super Eagles ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa. He is expected to link up with his new teammates at Selhurst Park following the international break.
