The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Dakibiyu District, Kubwa Branch—popularly known as “The Peculiar People”, has appointed Pastor Samson Kayode Aliyu as the Rector of its newly established Christian Heritage International Bible College.
The announcement was made by the church’s Senior Pastor, Special Apostle Pastor Alex Ogundipe, during the General Assembly held on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
Pastor Aliyu, who also serves as the Shepherd-in-Charge of the church’s Gwarimpa branch, expressed deep gratitude for the appointment and emphasised the college’s spiritual significance. “This is not just an academic initiative, it’s a spiritual mandate,” he declared.
He encouraged church members and Christians from other denominations to embrace the opportunity for theological development. “Prepare to enrol when admissions open,” he urged.
The Bible College is expected to commence operations in September 2025, offering two foundational programmes: a 6-month Certificate in Theology and a 12-month Diploma in Theology.
In a related development, the church also announced a leadership restructuring at its educational arm, Pesach International Academy. Pastor Jumoke Dele Raji was named the substantive Head Teacher and Administrator, following the dissolution of the former Management Committee led by Pastor Aliyu.
To guide the institution’s new direction, a fresh advisory body was inaugurated. The members include Dr. Adedeji Ademefun, Apostle Oluwaseun Sodipe, Apostle Abiodun Oguntokun, and Dr. Funto Babarinde.
These developments, according to church leaders, are part of a renewed vision to strengthen both spiritual and academic foundations within the church and the broader Christian community.
