Danjuma Confident as Falconets Prepare for U20 World Cup
Falconets head coach Christopher Danjuma is confident in Nigeria’s U20 girls as they prepare for the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia from August 31 to September 22. The Falconets will compete in Group D against Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic. Matches will be held in Bogotá and Cali.
Danjuma praised the team’s hard work and improvement, emphasizing the need to be ready from the start. “We must bring our ‘A’ game to the party in all three matches,” he said. Nigeria will face Korea Republic first on September 1, followed by Germany on September 4, and Venezuela on September 7.
The tournament, expanded to 24 teams, will feature four African representatives: Nigeria, Morocco, Cameroon, and Ghana. Matches will be held in four venues across Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali.
