Drone Attacks Hit Kuwait Airport, Oman Port as Regional Tensions Escalate
Drone and missile attacks has struck key infrastructure across the Gulf, with Kuwait International Airport among the latest targets amid rising regional tensions.
Kuwait’s state news agency reported that multiple drones targeted the airport on Saturday, causing significant damage to its radar systems. Authorities confirmed that no casualties were recorded.
The incident follows a similar drone strike on the Salalah Port in Oman, where a worker was injured and a crane damaged. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attack was aimed at a US-linked vessel located some distance from the port.
In the Abu Dhabi, six people were injured after debris from a ballistic missile interception triggered fires in multiple locations, according to local authorities.
The latest attacks come amid a widening escalation across the Gulf region, following earlier reports of strikes that wounded US personnel in Saudi Arabia. The wave of incidents has heightened concerns over the security of critical infrastructure and shipping routes in the Middle East.
