D’Tigress Vow to Win Medals at Paris Olympics
The Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has assured Nigerians they will not leave the Paris Olympics empty-handed. D’Tigress began their Olympic campaign with a historic victory over World No. 3 ranked Australia at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille.
Later today, the team will face France in their second game of Group B. In a tweet on their official X platform handle, D’Tigress expressed gratitude for the support they received and emphasized their determination to achieve more.
“We truly appreciate all the love and support,” the team stated. “We are mentally locked in and focused on maintaining our momentum. One win is not enough; we aim to make history and leave Paris with medals. We are not leaving here empty-handed.”
