EFCC Declares Kano Man Wanted Over Alleged $1.9 Million Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared a 43-year-old man, Rabiu Auwalu Tijjani, wanted for allegedly defrauding victims of nearly $2 million.

In a statement issued by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the commission said Tijjani is wanted in connection with a case of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretence, and money laundering totaling $1,931,700.12.

Tijjani, an indigene of Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, is suspected to have played a major role in the financial crime. His last known address was 59 Murtala Muhammed Way, Kano, but his current whereabouts remain unknown.

The EFCC has called on the public to assist in tracking down the suspect. Anyone with useful information is encouraged to contact any of the commission’s offices across the country, including in Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and other major cities.
