The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 120 suspected internet fraudsters in a major crackdown across Lagos.
According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the suspects—comprising 95 males and 25 females—were apprehended on Monday in multiple locations within the state.
Oyewale stated that the arrests followed credible intelligence and detailed surveillance on the suspects’ alleged involvement in cybercrime activities.
Recovered items from the operation include 26 luxury vehicles, high-end jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and various incriminating documents.
The suspects are currently under investigation and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the probe, the commission said.
