Eldee Claims His Father Brought Internet to Nigeria

Veteran rapper and music producer, Eldee The Don, has revealed that his father was instrumental in connecting Nigeria to the internet. During a recent appearance on the Adesope Live show, Eldee disclosed that his father established the country’s first cyber cafe in Lagos and provided internet services to major clients, including oil companies and government agencies.

Eldee acknowledged that this claim might be contested due to his father’s preference for a low profile, stating, “People argue about this because they don’t know his name. He wasn’t someone who wanted to put himself out there.”

According to Eldee, his father’s pioneering efforts in technology gave him early exposure to tools that significantly influenced his career. “The first connection for Mobil, CBN, and government agencies was done by my dad. At the time, we had access to technology that wasn’t common. I even had a music studio in our house where I produced my tracks,” he explained.

Eldee credited his father’s groundbreaking work for giving him an edge in the music industry, describing him as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s tech space.
