Epstein Files: DOJ Reportedly Removes Documents, Including Trump Photo

Several documents linked to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including a photograph showing US President Donald Trump, have reportedly been removed from the US Justice Department’s website, prompting criticism from Democratic lawmakers.

Media reports said more than a dozen files were taken down shortly after the Justice Department released thousands of records related to the long-running sex trafficking investigation into Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said one of the removed items identified as file 468  contained a photo of Trump. Writing on X, the lawmakers said the document had “apparently now been removed” from the official release and called on Attorney General Pamela Bondi to ensure transparency for the American public.

According to NPR, the withdrawn materials also included images of various artworks, some featuring nudity.
The reported removals come just days after the Justice Department published a large cache of Epstein-related records on Friday, in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The legislation required the agency to disclose all documents connected to the investigation within a 30-day deadline, which expired the same day the records were released.

The Justice Department has not publicly explained why the files were taken down, fueling further debate over the handling and completeness of the disclosure.
