Mr Dominic Nwuzor, former manager of late Nollywood comic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has appealed to the Enugu State Government to offer educational scholarships to the actor’s children.
Nwuzor made the appeal during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.
The Chief Executive Officer of Don Singles International, who managed the late actor for over two decades, said the gesture would help secure the future of Mr Ibu’s children following the actor’s death in March 2024.
He called on the Enugu State Government to consider the children, who hail from Nkanu West Local Government Area, as part of its efforts to strengthen access to education through targeted scholarship programmes.
According to Nwuzor, providing scholarships would ensure the children receive quality education and become self-reliant despite the absence of their father, whom he described as a comic genius whose legacy should be preserved through meaningful support for his family.
