Expert Urges Parents: Let Kids Choose Careers
During a valedictory ceremony at Redeemer TEAP International School in Abuja, Prof. Patricia Ojiah, Director of the University of Abuja Counseling and Career Services Centre, advised parents to guide rather than dictate their children’s career choices.
Ojiah emphasized that allowing children to follow their passions enables them to maximize their potential.
“Graduands, follow your passion. Parents, please listen to your children and encourage them to pursue their interests,” she urged.
Dr. Sam Amadi, former Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, highlighted the poor state of the country’s educational institutions and called for government action to improve them. He encouraged students to strive for excellence.
