Nigerian rapper and actor, Folarin “Falz” Falana, has dismissed rumors suggesting he had secretly gotten married, stressing that his privacy remains paramount.
Speculation had swirled after the award-winning entertainer shared a set of traditional wedding-themed photos on social media, sparking widespread belief that they were from an actual marriage ceremony.
Falz, however, clarified that the images were only part of a creative photoshoot project.
Reacting to the frenzy via his Instagram account, he joked that the public might not even believe him when he eventually ties the knot.
“When everybody realized I wasn’t really married, people kept saying it’s a case of the boy who cried wolf. Maybe when I do get married nobody will care,” he said.
The rapper further stressed that he is under no obligation to disclose personal milestones, including marriage, to the public. Still, he admitted that if love compels him, he may not completely rule out the possibility of sharing such news.
“It is bold of you to actually assume that if I’m actually getting married, I will share it,” Falz added.
