Police in Lagos are searching for a 48-year-old man, Kadiri Yusuf, also known as Alado, for allegedly assaulting his two children in the Orile Agege area. The victims, aged 11 and 13, reportedly sustained severe injuries after being beaten by their father.
The incident came to light after a primary school teacher reported the case to the police.
According to Lagos State Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, the teacher discovered injuries on the 11-year-old girl during school hours on Friday, October 18. Upon further questioning, the child revealed that her father regularly beat her and her older brother.
Both children have received medical treatment and are now in the care of their older sister. Police efforts to apprehend the suspect are ongoing, as he fled the scene before officers arrived.
