The Nigerian Federal Government has condemned the recent terrorist attack on the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS), expressing deep sympathy for Türkiye.
In a statement released Friday, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, spokesperson for Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denounced the October 23 attack that claimed five lives and injured 22 people.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria is saddened by the act of terrorism on Oct. 23, 2024, targeting the Turkish Aerospace and Defence Company, TUSAS, leaving five dead and 22 injured,” Abu-Obe stated.
He added that Nigeria stands in solidarity with Türkiye, condemning the violence aimed at instilling fear rather than fostering peace.
“Nigeria extends its condolences to the Government and the people of Türkiye, while praying for the families of the dearly departed,” Abu-Obe concluded.
