FG Sells 50kg Rice at N40,000 to Public Servants
The Federal Government has announced plans to sell a 50kg bag of rice at N40,000 to public servants to alleviate the ongoing food crisis. This information was disclosed in a letter from the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs on Friday.
Public servants interested in purchasing the rice are instructed to complete a Google form on the OHCSF website and submit it to their director of human resources for endorsement. Payment and distribution will be managed by designated offices, with the chairman of the Joint Union Council of the ministry serving as an observer to ensure transparency.
This initiative comes amid nationwide protests over economic hardship and the high cost of living, which led to a sit-at-home order on Thursday.
