First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. has reassured customers that its transition to a new cloud-based procurement and financial system for vendors will not disrupt banking operations or customer services.

Folake Ani-Mumuney, Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at FirstBank, clarified in a statement that customer applications and banking services will continue running smoothly, with no upgrades affecting customer systems.

“We would like to address the misleading reports suggesting a system upgrade. This transition is specific to our vendors, as we shift from the I-Supplier Platform to a new cloud-based supplier management system,” Ani-Mumuney stated.

She confirmed that the transition is strictly vendor-related, ensuring customers that the bank’s transactions, systems, and service channels remain unaffected.

“Our services are fully operational, and customer applications continue to function seamlessly. We are committed to delivering uninterrupted banking services,” she added.

FirstBank reiterated its focus on providing continuous, reliable service to customers as it advances vendor management capabilities.
