First Lady Mourns Victims of Sokoto Boat Tragedy, Bauchi Floods

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the Governors of Sokoto and Bauchi States, following recent tragedies that struck their regions.

In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja, the First Lady expressed deep sorrow over the boat mishap in Sokoto State, which resulted in significant loss of life, and the devastating floods in Bauchi State, which led to widespread destruction of property.

“These incidents are truly unfortunate,” Tinubu stated. “My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families. We extend our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones, homes, and possessions, and to those who have been displaced.”

She added, “May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace, and may God grant strength and comfort to the affected families during this difficult time.”
