Florence Okonkwo Named Entertainment Personality of the Year at DIF UK, Sierra Leone 25th Anniversary
Renowned media figure and “Queen of the Red Carpet,” Florence Okonkwo, has been honoured with the Entertainment Personality of the Year Award by the Disabled International Foundation (DIF) UK & Sierra Leone. The recognition was presented during the foundation’s 25th anniversary silver jubilee celebration held in London.
The event commemorated 25 years of impactful work by DIF in the areas of education, healthcare, and food security across the UK and Sierra Leone. Okonkwo attended the high-profile ceremony as a special guest of honour, joining a roster of distinguished personalities and changemakers.
In her acceptance speech, Okonkwo expressed deep appreciation and pledged her ongoing commitment to supporting DIF and similar organizations that drive social impact.
“It is truly inspiring to be part of this organization. I am grateful to be part of this award night filled with purpose, recognition, and celebration. Here’s to many more years of progress and empowerment,” she said.
The celebration drew a prominent guest list including Dr. Imambay Kamara (Founder and President of DIF UK & Sierra Leone), Amb. Yvette Philbert, Dr. Dominic Mbang, Lord Ducan McNair, Princess Toyin Onagoruwa, Chief Kate Anolue, Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin, Mohammed Sesay (Billy), Dr. Kalpana Kundun, Mrs. Isata Sesay Jallon, Agnes Pratt (Queen of Social Media) and her husband, Naa Tsotsoo Soyoo, I-Queen, Dr. Richie John Onaiwu, and Amb.
