Former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, is receiving medical care after sustaining an injury during an official visit to Europe, her office confirmed on Friday.
Pelosi was in Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge when the incident occurred. “Speaker Emerita Pelosi sustained an injury during an official engagement and is now receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals,” said her spokesperson, Ian Krager.
In a statement, Krager shared Pelosi’s regret over missing the remainder of the congressional delegation’s (CODEL) engagements. “She continues to work remotely and conveys her heartfelt thanks to our veterans, the people of Luxembourg, and Bastogne for their service during World War II and their enduring role in fostering peace in Europe.”
