A Ghanaian content creator and self-styled prophet, Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has been remanded in police custody for two weeks by an Adentan Circuit Court following the adjournment of his case.

The court also directed that the 33-year-old undergo a psychiatric evaluation at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital to aid ongoing investigations and guide further proceedings.

The matter has been adjourned to January 16, with the psychiatric assessment report expected to be presented at the next hearing.

Ebo Noah rose to prominence in August 2025 after claiming he had received a divine revelation warning that the world would end following continuous rainfall lasting three years, beginning on December 25, 2025. He said God instructed him to construct an ark to prepare for a catastrophic flood.

As Christmas drew near, scores of Christians reportedly visited the site of the unfinished ark, hoping to board it as a refuge from the predicted disaster. On December 24, Ebo Noah announced that the ark was about 80 per cent complete and insisted it would be the only safe haven when the flood began.

However, when no flood occurred on Christmas Day, he later announced that he had received a new revelation stating that the disaster would no longer happen. He added that God had instead instructed him to build more arks.

Following the failed prophecy, operatives of the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team arrested Ebo Noah on December 31, 2025, in the Weija-Gbawe area of Accra while he was live-streaming online.

He was detained on allegations of spreading online disinformation and was subsequently arraigned in court on Friday, January
