Ghanaian Woman Calls on River God to Curse Partner If He Marries Another Woman

A young Ghanaian woman has sparked intense online reactions after invoking a river deity to curse her partner should he ever leave her for another woman.

In a now-viral video, the woman claimed that she and her partner had made a spiritual covenant never to part ways. She emotionally recounted how she supported him through years of hardship and sacrifice, and demanded that the gods punish him — and any woman who marries him — if he breaks their promise.

“If he tries to abandon me for another woman after becoming successful, may the gods deal with him on my behalf,” she declared.

The woman further demanded GHS100,000 in compensation for her years of support, warning that the gods should “not spare” him if he chooses to marry someone else.
