Content creator Folorunsho Olayinka, popularly known as Finest, has disclosed that the late comedian Adetola Samad, also called Sanku, died in a Lexus SUV purchased on loan, with over ₦13 million still unpaid.

Speaking during a TikTok livestream on Monday, Finest explained that he stood as guarantor for Sanku in the transaction with Ilorin-based car dealer, JJ Motors Empire and Services Limited. According to him, the vehicle, a 2012 Lexus RX 350, was valued at ₦25.4 million.

Sanku reportedly paid ₦7 million upfront on June 5, 2025, with receipts to confirm the transaction, and continued making instalments until he had covered ₦12.28 million. At the time of his death, an outstanding balance of more than ₦13 million remained.

Clarifying his role, Finest stressed that he had no motive to harm the comedian, contrary to speculations linking him to the tragedy.
“I was only a guarantor because the car dealer knew me. I wasn’t the one who told him to come to Ilorin; he requested a driver, which I provided. So what will be my gain in harming someone who still owed about ₦13 million?” he said.

Finest further stated that he had no relationship with the driver involved, insisting his role was limited to standing as guarantor.
