Hezbollah’s acting leader, Naim Kassem, has vowed to escalate rocket attacks on Israel following a deadly Israeli airstrike on northern Lebanon, an area far from the group’s usual strongholds.
Kassem indicated that targets in southern Israel, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, would be hit in response to the airstrike that killed at least 22 people, including women and children, according to the U.N.

Hezbollah, which began launching rockets into Israel following the October 2023 Hamas attack, insists it will continue its offensive until a Gaza ceasefire is reached.
