Vice President Kamala Harris is dedicating her Election Day to mobilizing voters in swing states, encouraging citizens to use their “power” at the polls before she joins a family dinner and heads to Howard University, her alma mater, for an election night watch party in Washington, DC.

In an interview on Pittsburgh’s “The Big K Morning Show with Larry Richert,” Harris shared her election night tradition. “I will be at my alma mater, at Howard University,” she said.

“And before that, I have a tradition of having dinner with my family and so we will do that. I have a lot of my family staying with us. And during the day, I’ll be… reminding them to get out to vote.”

Harris underscored the importance of turnout, urging Pittsburgh voters to exercise their rights.

“I would urge everyone to just remember that in our democracy, the people get to decide, and your vote is your power,” she emphasised.

Harris will face off with Republican candidate Donald Trump as voters cast their ballots.
