King Sunny Ade Not Missing, Safe and Sound – Family
The family of legendary Juju musician, Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade (KSA), has debunked rumours claiming he is missing, assuring the public that he is safe and in good health.
This follows a social media post by one of his daughters, Damilola, who raised alarm over her father’s whereabouts. She accused her brother, Dayo—who also serves as KSA’s manager—of allegedly keeping the music icon in an undisclosed location against his will.
In a swift response, Dayo issued a statement on behalf of the Adegeye family, describing the allegations as “malicious” and intended to damage the Juju legend’s image.
“We want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound. There is no truth to the kidnapping rumour, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information,” the statement read.
He further stressed that the iconic singer, known globally as the King of World Beats, “has not been abducted or kidnapped by anyone.”
The family reiterated their commitment to protecting King Sunny Ade’s reputation and legacy, urging fans to disregard the false claims. “The public can rest assured that King Sunny Ade is in good health and spirits, and his focus remains on his music and legacy,” the statement concluded.
