Nigerian music star Kizz Daniel has announced the passing of his mother-in-law, who succumbed to breast cancer.
The singer shared the sad news on his X page on Friday, expressing support for his wife, Mjay Anidugbe, and requesting prayers for the deceased.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her. Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.
Fans and industry colleagues have since flooded his post with messages of condolences and support for the grieving couple.
Kizz Daniel, who revealed his wife’s identity in 2024 after years of keeping their relationship private, has experienced both joy and loss in their journey together. The couple welcomed triplets in 2021 but tragically lost one of the children shortly after birth.
Known for his breakout hit “Woju” in 2015, Kizz Daniel has solidified his place in the Nigerian music scene. After a publicized legal battle with G-Worldwide Entertainment, he launched his own record label, Flyboy Inc., in 2017. While he stepped down as CEO, the label continues under the management of his former boss, Emperor Geezy.
The news of his mother-in-law’s passing has added another layer of grief to the singer’s personal life, as he continues to navigate both professional and familial challenges.
