Kwara Eases Sanitation Restrictions to Allow Movement for UTME Mock Candidates
The Kwara State Government has relaxed movement restrictions for this Saturday’s environmental sanitation exercise to enable candidates sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock to access their centres without hindrance.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Environment, Shakirat Muritala.
Muritala quoted the Commissioner for Environment, Nafisat Musa-Buge, as saying the sanitation exercise would still hold between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., but with free movement for residents and vehicles.
She explained that the adjustment became necessary to ensure students participating in the mock UTME organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) can reach their examination centres across the state.
Musa-Buge urged residents to take advantage of the sanitation window to clean their homes and business premises in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
She also assured that waste evacuation trucks would be deployed to facilitate proper collection and disposal of refuse at designated dump sites.
