Kwara Governor Abdulrazaq Mourns Chief of Staff Abdulkadir Mahe

The Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, has passed away.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Rafiu Ajakaye, announced the news in a statement on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Ilorin.

“He died this morning, as destined by Allah,” the statement read.

Prince Mahe will be laid to rest later today at his residence on Moro Street, Adewole Estate, Ilorin, following the Asr prayer.

Governor Abdulrazaq expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Prince Mahe as “a perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman.”

The governor extended condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Mahe’s immediate family, and members of the state cabinet.

“We ask for the understanding of everyone at this mournful period as the government and family grieve the loss of this quintessential public servant,” the statement added.

The government prayed for Allah’s mercy on the late Chief of Staff, asking for his admittance to Al-Jannah Firdaus and strength for his family during this period of loss.
