Man Charged for Stabbing 11-Year-Old Girl in Central London
A 32-year-old man, identified as Ioan Pintaru, has been charged with attempted murder after an 11-year-old girl was stabbed in Leicester Square, central London, on Tuesday.
Pintaru has also been charged with possession of a bladed weapon and was remanded in custody. He is set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Initially, the girl’s 34-year-old mother was thought to have sustained injuries, but the Metropolitan Police later clarified that the blood was from her daughter’s wounds, not her own.
