Mandy Kiss Cries Out Over Alleged Plan to Take Her to Psychiatric Hospital

Controversial social media influencer Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, has raised alarm over an alleged plan to forcibly admit her to a psychiatric hospital.

In a post shared on her social media page, the 25-year-old content creator appealed to Nigerians for help, insisting that she is mentally sound and that her online actions are purely for entertainment and livelihood.

“Please, Nigerians, have mercy on me. I am not mentally ill. I am only trying to make a living. They are using an excuse to take me to a psychiatric hospital. Everything I do online is for content and to trend,” she pleaded.

Her outcry comes shortly after public backlash over her controversial announcement to attempt a Guinness World Record by sleeping with 100 men in 24 hours, a move that drew widespread criticism and even calls for her arrest from some quarters.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, has clarified why Mandy Kiss was recently appointed as an ambassador for the Lagos State Kicks Against Drug Abuse (LASKADA) initiative.

In a statement shared via his social media accounts, Ogunlende explained that the government chose to engage and redirect the young influencer due to her strong influence among Nigerian youths.

“With the Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration being responsive and responsible, I met with Mandy Kiss following her public announcement of plans that didn’t align with societal values. We responded with empathy and explored more constructive paths forward,” the commissioner stated.

He added that Mandy Kiss’s appointment was part of efforts to promote mental health, emotional wellness, and youth reorientation across Lagos State.

According to Ogunlende, what began as a controversial episode has now turned into a “pivotal moment of redirection,” as Mandy Kiss embraces a new, purpose-driven role aimed at combating drug abuse and substance misuse among youths in the state.
