Maryland man arrested for disguising as woman to secretly film inside gym bathrooms

A 44-year-old man has been arrested in Montgomery County, Maryland, for allegedly disguising himself as a woman to record women inside gym locker rooms and bathrooms.

Police identified the suspect as Tshikundi Taty. According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the investigation began on October 10, 2025, after a woman at One Life Fitness Club on Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown reported that someone had entered the women’s locker room and recorded her while she was in the shower.

Detectives later determined that Taty had been dressing as a woman to gain access to female locker rooms, where he would secretly record women before removing his disguise and leaving the area.

On Wednesday, officers tracked Taty to a Planet Fitness gym in White Oak, where he was again found inside the women’s locker room, dressed as a woman. He was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing to determine whether Taty may have targeted other gyms or victims in the area.
