A suspected motorcycle thief was lynched and set ablaze by a mob in the early hours of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, near the Railway Quarters in Makurdi, Benue State.
Eyewitnesses say the suspect allegedly attempted to steal a commercial motorcycle when the owner raised an alarm. Residents in the area reportedly gave chase, apprehended the suspect, and beat him severely before setting him on fire.
