Mohbad’s Father Claims He Paid ₦16 Million for Second Autopsy
Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Mohbad, has claimed he paid ₦16 million to a pathologist for his son’s second autopsy. Speaking during a TikTok live session, Aloba stated, “With all sincerity, I paid the first tranche of ₦16 million to the pathologist. After that, I spent close to ₦2 million.”
He addressed conflicting reports about the amount, saying, “Some people were saying it was ₦12 million that I paid, but I’m still telling you now that I paid ₦16 million. If the pathologist can come out to deny my claim, then don’t believe me again.”
His disclosure follows a separate independent autopsy and forensic review led by Dr. Uwom Eze, which failed to determine the singer’s exact cause of death. In June 2024, a Coroner’s Court magistrate in Ikorodu, Lagos State, approved the hiring of a licensed pathologist to conduct the additional examination.
