The Naira recorded a slight depreciation at the official market on Friday, trading at ₦1,652.25 against the dollar.
Data from the FMDQ Exchange trading platform indicated a ₦2.05 drop in value, representing a 0.12% decline compared to Thursday’s rate of ₦1,650.20 per dollar.
Despite the depreciation, the total daily turnover at the official market rose significantly, reaching $296.63 million on Friday, compared to $214.73 million on Thursday.
At the Investor’s and Exporter’s (I&E) window, the Naira traded within a range of ₦1,620.00 to ₦1,699.00 per dollar, reflecting ongoing fluctuations in the exchange rate.
The slight loss underscores continued pressure on the Naira amidst varying demand and supply dynamics in the foreign exchange market.
