Ned Nwoko Says Court Orders Drug Rehab Before Regina Daniels Can See Children
Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has responded to recent claims by his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, concerning access to their two sons, Munir and Khalifa.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his communications team and titled “Take the Window of Quietude for Therapy,” Nwoko dismissed allegations that he is deliberately blocking Daniels from seeing the children or exploiting them on social media.
The statement described Daniels’ recent posts as misleading, arguing that sharing family moments online has long been a common practice within the family. It added that Daniels herself had previously shared photos and videos of not only her children but also those of Nwoko’s other wives without raising concerns about privacy or exploitation.
According to Nwoko’s team, Daniels’ absence from the children’s daily lives has been voluntary, alleging that she prioritised social activities over maintaining a consistent presence. The statement maintained that the children are currently in a stable environment centred on routine, care and emotional wellbeing.
Nwoko further disclosed that an Abuja court has directed that Daniels must undergo drug rehabilitation and be evaluated by the Abuja Social Welfare Department before she can regain access to the children.
The case has been adjourned until February 4, 2026, for a substantive hearing.
The public dispute reportedly escalated in October 2025 following allegations of substance abuse and domestic issues, culminating in the ongoing custody-related legal proceedings.
