Ned Nwoko Sues Influencer for Defamation Over Claims Against Regina Daniels
Businessman and lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has initiated legal action against a social media influencer over alleged defamatory statements and misleading claims involving his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
According to a statement released by his legal team, Nwoko accused the influencer of spreading false information online with the intent to damage his family’s reputation and mislead the public.
The statement emphasized that the defamatory content targeted Regina Daniels directly and was calculated to provoke public outrage, discredit her image, and undermine the credibility of the Nwoko household.
“Freedom of expression does not give anyone the right to defame others or spread falsehoods for clout or engagement,” the legal team stated.
Senator Nwoko said the matter will be addressed in court, where facts and evidence will be presented, adding that justice will be pursued to its logical conclusion.
The statement concluded with a stern warning that individuals who weaponize social media to tarnish reputations must be prepared to face legal consequences.
