Netanyahu Urges Iranians to Rise Against ‘Tyrannical’ Leadership
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday called on the people of Iran to bring about political change and end the rule of the country’s current leadership.
Speaking during a meeting with representatives of the Israel Ministry of Health, Netanyahu said the responsibility for political transformation ultimately lies with the Iranian people.
According to a statement released by his office in Tel Aviv, the Israeli leader said his government hoped to see Iranians free themselves from what he described as oppressive rule.
“Our goal is to bring the Iranian people to throw off the yoke of tyranny, but ultimately it depends on them,” Netanyahu said.
Referring to Iran’s leadership, he added that Israel’s actions were placing significant pressure on the authorities in Tehran.
Netanyahu has previously made similar remarks, urging citizens in Iran to challenge and overthrow the country’s ruling establishment.
His latest comments come amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, as well as broader security concerns across the Middle East.
