Nollywood Actor Chris Bassey Finds Success as a Plumber in Canada
Nollywood actor and scriptwriter Chris Bassey has revealed a major career shift, venturing into the construction industry as a plumber in Canada. In an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Bassey discussed his decision to embrace a new profession abroad, emphasizing the financial rewards that plumbing offers.
“Plumbing pays better than tech jobs here in Canada,” Bassey remarked, explaining that his income allows him to travel across various provinces on weekends. He shared that he has been able to live comfortably while visiting several parts of the country, a lifestyle he believes is out of reach for many in the tech industry.
Bassey made his Nollywood debut as a scriptwriter in the early 2000s, writing his first film, Master of The Game, in 2004. In 2012, he transitioned into acting, encouraged by veteran actor Charles Inojie. Over the years, he has starred in films like Sin Of A Woman (2013), School Trouble (2014), Love In A Valley (2022), and A Bet On Love (2023).
