Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has been emotionally reunited with her daughter, Adeola, who had been missing for four years.

The emotional reunion comes after Jumoke publicly shared her pain during an interview with fellow actress Biola Adebayo on the Talk to B YouTube podcast, revealing that Adeola had gone missing after telling family members she was traveling from Ibadan to Lagos.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, announced via X (formerly Twitter) that 41-year-old Adeola was found in Mali, where she had been trafficked. She has now safely returned to Nigeria.

In a viral video, Jumoke George was seen breaking down in tears and clinging tightly to her daughter in a deeply emotional scene, overwhelmed by the long-awaited reunion.

Adeola’s return brings closure to a painful chapter for the actress, who had tirelessly sought answers about her daughter’s whereabouts.

In a related story, veteran actress Tina Mba has criticized the notion that actors must always take lead roles to remain relevant in the industry. Speaking on Lights, Camera, It’s Your Turn with Tope Olowoniyan, Mba described the mindset as “small-minded” and called for greater appreciation of supporting roles in film.
