Nuneaton’s Agra Palace Clinches Good Food Award Gold Seal Ahead of 35th Anniversary
Agra Palace, one of Nuneaton’s most established and popular restaurants, is celebrating another milestone after securing the prestigious Good Food Award 2025/26 Gold Seal. The accolade adds to the growing display of certificates that greet customers as they enter the family-run Indian restaurant on Abbey Green.
The award follows a wave of nominations and votes from loyal diners, marking the second consecutive year the restaurant has earned the honour. Managing director Jamal Ullah told CoventryLive that the achievement comes at a particularly meaningful time, with the restaurant preparing to celebrate its 35th anniversary on December 17.
“We received this same award last year, and our customers have been voting for us again,” Ullah said. “The judges consider TripAdvisor feedback and food hygiene ratings, so we’re really proud to have been recognised once more.”
Ullah credited the restaurant’s continued success to its dedicated staff, noting that Agra Palace has maintained the same chef for 16 years. “People often change chefs—we don’t. We have very loyal workers. We also pride ourselves on giving guests a friendly welcome, and that’s reflected in the feedback we receive.”
The Good Food Award Gold Seal is reserved for establishments that maintain exceptional customer ratings and strong public support over a three-year period, making it a notable badge of excellence within the industry.
